Chillicothe Farmers Market Brings the Market Downtown This Weekend

Chillicothe, OH — When winter shows up at full strength, the Chillicothe Farmers Market is making moves to adapt, with the support of downtown friends.

For this weekend only, the market will be held indoors at Foster Farmstead Marketplace in downtown Chillicothe, offering shoppers and vendors a warm, welcoming place to gather while temperatures dip dangerously low.

“We’re genuinely excited to host the farmers market this weekend,” said Krystal Foster, owner of Foster Farmstead Marketplace. “Foster Farmstead was created to support local farmers, makers, and community gatherings, so opening our doors for the market felt like a natural fit.”

Market Manager Mandy Way of Way Farms shared her appreciation for the flexibility and cooperation that made the one-weekend move possible.

“Our vendors pour their hearts into what they bring each week,” Way said. “Having a downtown option during extreme cold allows the market to continue without asking people to brave unsafe conditions, and we’re very thankful for that support.”

James Hall of Risen Bakery, President of the Chillicothe Farmers Market, pointed to the bigger picture behind the temporary move.

“We’re thankful to Krystal for hosting all of us this weekend, and for the recent downtown updates to Water Street that make access easy and safe for all shoppers,” Hall said. “This weekend is a great example of how collaboration between downtown businesses and the market creates something better for everyone — and it’s a small glimpse of what’s to come for Chillicothe.”

The Chillicothe Farmers Market invites you to join our vendors downtown this weekend. Grab a warm cup of coffee from Two Roasting Joes, enjoy the warmth, and shop local artisan breads, healthy skincare products, fresh produce, incredible-smelling candles, and more — all under one cozy roof.
